Tuesday: An Evening with Mary Sheedy Kurcinka

ECFE's South Parent Advisory council and the Minneapolis ECFE program are hosting a benefit presentation in the Burroughs Auditorium on Tuesday, May 23, 7:00-9:00 PM. The speaker will be Mary Sheedy Kurcinka, best selling author of Raising Your Spirited Child and Kids, Parents and Power Struggles. Her latest book is Sleepless in America: Is Your Child Misbehaving or Missing Sleep?

You can reserve seating here or call 825-7906. Suggested donation is $5/person or $8/couple.

Books for India

Children's books are still being collected for this week's Used Books Sale. You can drop off books today (Monday) in the box in the atrium.

The book sale--a benefit to provide books to children in India boarding schools--will be tomorrow (Tuesday) at Burroughs.

Track and Field Thursday

On Thursday all Burroughs 1st-5th graders will participate in Track and Field Day. Students in grades 3-5 have the morning slot (9:00 - 11:30) and grades 1-2 are in the afternoon (12:00-2:30).

In case of rain, Track and Field Day will move to Friday.

Band Concert Tonight

The Burroughs Band performs at 7:00 tonight (Monday) in the gymnasium.

Track and Field Day: Volunteers Needed

The PE team is getting ready for Track and Field Day on May 25 (or May 26 if it rains). The event for grades 3, 4, and 5 will be in the morning, 9:00-11:00. Grades 1 and 2 will join in the fun in the afternoon, 12:00-2:00.

If you'd like to volunteer, e-mail Mr. Peterson, or complete and return the flyer.

2006-07 Budget

Site Council co-chair Dean LeDoux has provided the presentation and background information from the April 27 budget meeting. If you weren't able to attend, you can find out about the next school year from a budget perspective. The slide presentation is here; detailed staffing information is here.
