Twin Cities Marathon Fun Run

Heading over to the Fun Run on Saturday? We've posted a map to give you a better idea where to park and how to find your way around the events.

A few reminders:
  • Please plan to arrive before 9 a.m. to allow time to pick up your child's t-shirt and race number.
  • Group picture with Mr. Cadotte at 9:15 a.m.
  • 1 Mile race takes place at 9:45 a.m. -- race officials will start lining up kids around 9:20 a.m.
  • 1/2 Mile race takes place at 10:15 -- kids start lining up around 9:55 a.m.
The race coordinator also sent on a few more details:
The starts of the Mile and Half Mile are in front of the Department of Transportation Building on John Ireland Blvd. All routes are out and back on John Ireland Blvd. The finish line is almost directly next to the start line, separated by a median and snow-fencing. Surrounding streets are closed by 7:00 a.m. so please arrive early (and plan to stay late, there is lots to do in the Family Activity Tent).

The School Meeting Area is directly in front of the Department of Transportation Bldg. on the south side of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., look for the School Meeting Area signs and individual school names in the meeting area.

The finish line is a secured area. Please be advised that children will be directed to exit at the far (north) end of the finishers chute near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and there will be no admittance by spectators or re-admittance by participants once they have cleared the area. In the event of a "lost adult" please tell your little ones to find a volunteer. That person will escort them to the Family Activity Tent and an announcement will be made over the PA system. We have a "lost and found persons" area in that tent where you can be reunited.
Remember, there are a lot of activities for everyone before and after the race so plan on having fun. If you missed signing up with us, your child can register on the day of the race between 7 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. and still be part of all the activities. Any other questions? Please call Dan Carlsen at 822- 0210.
