Burroughs Teacher Appreciation Breakfast

Monday, May 16, 8-9:00 a.m.
Burroughs Cafeteria

We are planning a continental style breakfast and have many food items covered, but are still looking for people to help out with food donations and other items. We are also seeking volunteers for the day of the event to assist in set-up and clean-up. Since this is a school release day, we will also need volunteers to watch kids in the gym as needed.

If you want to volunteer the day of or bring food items, etc., please contact Brenda Johnson.

Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment testing

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are testing again. This week, they are taking the MCA Math test. Next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, they will take the MCA Reading test. On Thursday, April 28, 5th graders will take the MCA Writing test.

If you'd like to get an idea of what these tests are like, you can check out (and your child can work through) practice tests through the district's site. Note that you'll need your student's ID number to enter the site--you can find it on any past report card.
